Sorry to be long winded, but I would hate anyone to have second thoughts about ordering the swingaffect. While I too am not a bodybuilder, I was in the Marine Corps for 6 years and my biceps are roughly 19" and not only does this swing affect fit my arm (with a batting jacket on). It fits all eleven of the players on my 11u team.

Without being too critical and quick to judge, I think you and your High School son may also find the Hit Stick too hard to operate. I have an elite 11u travel team from Southern California. We have been using the SwingAffect for 6 months now and the results have been dramatic. Before we would rely on our pitching staff, usually scoring 5-6 runs a game. This past weekend at Triple Crown's Spring Championship held in Arizona we came in 2nd (Division 1) out of 48 teams. We scored an average of 9-10 runs per game. Keeping the elbow from "flying" and having it travel inside our "core" has not only decreased the number of Pop-ups, but increased the number of "LINE-DRIVE Home runs". We had 11 Homeruns in 8 games this last weekend. Last, to atest to the fact that Thomas stands 100% behind his product, when I placed a "TEAM" order with him, he drove the product to my practice and gave my players 2 hours of his night, teaching/coaching and showing off what I believe is a VERY valuable learning tool for my young hitters. As a coach and hitting instructor I have found using the SwingAffect, I only have to focus on my hitters "Lower Half" (which is where 90% of the power generates from). I'm sorry you were confused! I spoke with Micheal and he gets its. The DEVICE slides up the lead arm and use Velcro straps to tighten to a snug fit.
The ARM, or metal piece, is and should be running parallel to the forearm when extended (this is where Will and Micheal's confusion started). When I ship I DON'T know the tension needed, so I DO NOT tighten the tension tube, which is for the customer to decide.
Next, tighten tension tube to needed tension, and finally, attach the loop on the end of tension tube to KNOB of bat.
I would like to add this is a first for a customer and I'm working on getting it more simple to understand.
The VIDEO inside of the box I have addressed the issue within minutes...I was on the phone with Micheal, Will's son, and explained it thoroughly. He will be sending me some video and I will post it on the website.
I also offer a full refund if not satisfied!! It would be a first, but there is always one out there.
