Miguel Cabrera

Great website. I am a high school baseball coach in PA, teach the same hitting philosophy. My 16 yr old son has been training on the same down and

through method for five years with Mike Moore in Port St. Lucie Florida who was a minor league hitting coach for about ten years (actually worked with Miguel Cabrera on his swing in 2002 right before his break out season). His swing is great. Every thing you guys emphasize. Thanks and keep up the good work!!!"

Miguel Cabrera has the most on plane swing in baseball. If you watch closely he swings almost completely with his shoulders. Cabrera also has the best extension in the game, which therefore produces the best hitter. He dies not swing down, and he does not have an A to C swing which you are suggesting.

slow motion analsis will speak for it self

please look at cabbera swing it is in slow motion super slow motion if you have to.he does not swing all the way down thru his hands might come down a little at first to get on plane with the ball but once the bat flattens out his swing is slightly up to get on path with the baseball with is falling as it comes to home plate .I belive swing down and thru the ball not only makes it harder to make square contact . but also its hard to swing down and stay balanced in the swing. I dont blame you for not beliving me but I ask that you only look at the way most great hitters swing in slow motion and judge for yourself
