30 day increase to speed

Just thought share some tips on what I did in high school...I use to do lot of power lifting for speed in the gym, which did help my bat speed immensely.

I think anyone wanting to boost hitting power, and bat speed, should at least do some weight training, with special attention to grip, I used to use only 2 or 3" barbells and dumbells or when at home would wrap a towel to increase the diameter for grip training. Thought I share some of what I did in the past.

By the way, I was lucky to hit two grand slams in one game, and I thought that was by accident. My dad coached my team when I did that. My dad use to be a minor league pitcher and was the best person to learn hitting skills from. Thanks and have a great day.

Thanks Keith for the great information, you know I love thick bar training as well. I just wish younger hitters would know how important it should be to hit training, increasing overall core and body strength, and in the process, increasing bat speed.
